Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Her first feature film appearance was a small role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to model. Then she began a career of commercial modelling. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that was carried into her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she was given the character of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publication scam. In Hollywood her next move was to. She starred as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration in recognition of an award. Her roles include a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010 Doody was a character in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018 she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
